DAHLIA TUBERS (local pick up only)

from $5.00

Dahlia tubers are available for local pick up at TWO locations: at Leah’s farm in Scappoose, or in St. Johns at Ellio’s house. You can choose pick up location at checkout.

Orders will be ready to pick up once you get a “FULFILLMENT” email. Then you can pick dahlias up at any time at your pre-determined pick up location.

Mystery dahlias can be any of the 11 varieties listed. Mystery tubers are $5 instead of $7. See last two photos for specific variety info.

Dahlia tubers are sold as single tubers but may come in a small clump instead (yeehaw! Bonus!) This is because when we divide tuber clumps, it is safer to leave some with several tubers still connected to make sure there is a viable “eye”. If you feel confident, feel free to divide further, or just leave it all intact and expect a very robust plant!

Tubers come in all shapes and sizes! A small tuber can still make a really big plant.

Plant tubers 6” deep and 12” apart with “eyes” pointing up. Do not water until you see sprouts coming out of the soil.

Be weary of slugs! They have been known to munch new shoots down to the ground over night. Use slug bait or put on your head lamp and go night time slug hunting.

When shoots are 12” tall, pinch back to half their height. This will force them to shoot more stems from the base and form bushier plants with more blooms.
